Every day, young men work to discern whether God's will for them is that they give their lives as Priests in service of the Church. These men have a strong community that is formed for the purpose of building them up and equipping them with the tools they will need to correcly discern God's will.
Seminary life is richly diverse with the Sacraments, classes, study, prayer, outdoor and indoor recreation, fellowship, family, friends, social time, reading, silence, fun, service, and community. If you have any questions about seminary life in the Columbus Diocese, please email the Vocations Director, Fr. Jeff Coning.
The most exciting aspect of seminary life, however, lies not in the environment or course of study, but in the young men themselves. The seminarians of the Diocese of Columbus are a diverse group of individuals that constantly seek to serve the people of God with their gifts and abilities. They offer humor, prayer, challenges, stories, reflections, and the fun of college and graduate life in a way that is inspiring and most often quite entertaining.
While our class of seminarians is constanly growing and changing, FACE FORWARD, the fully featured Facebook application sponsored by www.seekholiness.com, brings their stories to you each and every day. Please consider getting to know these young men and their journey's by following their path and supporting them in prayer. To connect to Face Foward, please click on the image to the right. To learn more about this application, please read our Face Forward FAQ.
Lord Jesus, we ask your special blessing on those preparing for the Holy priesthood. May their hearts overflow with love, understanding, and generosity. May their desire to serve inspire others to answer Your call. Lord Jesus, fill the hearts of seminarians with the fire of your love make them holy as You are Holy. Amen.
